A little bit of work, a lotta bit of fun.
Chef & Host for
“& the Table”
In 2022, I became one of the founding hosts for the nourishing all-female dining experience “& the Table”, founded by Samantha Daniele Wolfson in Amsterdam. 6 women, who have never met before, come together to feast and converse around a table, always under a certain theme that I as the host create. I cook a 3-4 course meal, moderate the conversation and make sure the women leave my home with full hearts and bellies.
Knit til I drop
Knitting is my way to unwind. To create fashion, even though I didn’t become a fashion designer like I always thought I would. I knit wherever I am, whenever I can. Over the years, I’ve taught myself how to create the most complex designs and master techniques with pretty much only books and YouTube. Now, I can’t put the needles down. Knitting is like me: it’s creative, but also deeply logical (mathematical even). It’s gentle but you need to be razor sharp to not lose track. Next I want to learn how to use a knitting machine to make even more complex pieces, faster.
Food pop-ups in Amsterdam
I’ve been hosting and cooked for a range of dinner pop-ups all over Amsterdam, often paired with a fellow chef and restaurateur or other female chef-friends. From International Women’s Day dinners to weddings, we’ve been bringing lots of female energy to the Amsterdam dining scene.
Butter Vintage
Between 2015-2023 I ran my own online vintage store to give people the chance to make better choices when it comes to fashion.
Seven years of owning and running a business next to full-time jobs taught me invaluable lessons about resilience, business strategy and thinking, creativity and dedication. I was my only employee and needed the entire skillset that’s required to keep a company functioning – from content creation, over inventory sourcing to book keeping.
